Charlie Health is a mental health company that provides virtual intensive outpatient programs (IOPs) for ages 11-50 who are struggling with serious mental health issues. Intake Process:

1. Initial Inquiry/Contact
You can call, fill out a form online, or get referred by a provider, school, or therapist.
A Care Team member will reach out to schedule an initial consultation.
2. Pre-Screening Call (15!€“30 mins)
A quick call to gather basic information about the client.
Discuss initial concerns, symptoms, and goals for treatment.
Verify insurance coverage and explain program costs, if applicable.
3. Free Comprehensive Clinical Assessment (60!€“90 mins)
A licensed clinician conducts a detailed assessment, often via video call or a phone call. This covers:
Medical and mental health history
Current symptoms and severity
Substance use history (if applicable)
Family dynamics and support systems
Risk factors (self-harm, suicidal ideation, etc.)
Parents or guardians are usually involved if the client is under 18.
4. Treatment Recommendation & Plan
Based on the assessment, the clinical team determines if Charlie Health!€™s Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is the right fit.
If appropriate, a customized treatment plan is created.
If IOP isn!€™t a fit, referrals to other levels of care or resources may be provided.
5. Enrollment & Orientation
Once accepted, the client and family receive:
A schedule of sessions (typically 3!€“5 days a week, 3 hours per day)
Orientation on how to access the virtual platform.
Info about group matching, privacy policies, and expectations.
6. Start of Treatment
Sessions begin, including:
Individual therapy (1x per week)
Group therapy (3x per week)
Family therapy (weekly or bi-weekly)
Ongoing communication with case managers and crisis support when needed.

Program Fees:

1. Insurance Coverage (Most Common Payment Option)
Charlie Health works with most major insurance providers to cover the cost of treatment.
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are often covered by insurance, either fully or partially, depending on your plan.
During the intake process, the Charlie Health team will:
Verify your insurance benefits.
Determine what!€™s covered and what out-of-pocket costs (if any) you might be responsible for.
Insurance Plans Accepted:
All commercial insurance plans and tricare.

Financial Assistance Options:
Charlie Health offers sliding scale fees or payment plans for families who need help covering costs.
During the intake process, the team can discuss any available financial assistance options as well.

Languages:

English and Spanish for both admissions and the program.
